Join artist Kai-Oi Joyce Yung for an interactive workshop inviting families to transform Los Carpinteros’ artworks into a strange land, filled with new sounds, textures and inhabitants. Crossing exploratory drawing and making, with playful use of body and voice, families will animate their personal imaginings of utopia and its inhabiting life forms, in this fun and lively experimental workshop.

Biography: Kai-Oi Joyce Yung‘s multi-sensory video installations, drawings, participatory performances examine alienation and borders, intersecting psychology-technology-architecture.  Exhibitions includeAmongst Dark Trees, A Clearing, Grundy Art Gallery, Shadow Dance, The Bluecoat, Interval; A Narrative Psychosis, Cornerhouse, Military Craft, Guangzhou Live and Image Wars, Abrons Art Centre. Her critical writing and education projects include Tate to Hong Kong University. Awards include Paul Hamlyn and ACE.
