Puzzle of the Mystery Species…Nature Games Weekender

Darwin Centre, Natural History Museum, London

25 & 26 August 2012, 12:00-16:00

As the result of a collaboration and research with a mollusc scientist and playing on the genus naming process… I’ve created a large scale swopping puzzle to be played as part of the Nature Games Weekend at Natural History Museum, inviting competitors in a puzzle race to identify a new species.

-Become a scientist- race in teams gathering data to investigate a puzzling new species. Swop and stump opponents, winners get to name their discovery in my Genus Book of Records

Here’s a teaser…..

Come along to the Natural History Museum from 12-4pm on 25 & 26 August.

The innovative games have been specially designed by artists and scientists to create the Nature Games Weekend at Natural History Museum to support innovative art and participatory events.

A new commission from Natural History Museum and Hide and Seek.

Here’s some of my sketches!

Something exciting has happened in our hi-tech genome science lab! As chief scientist I’ve created a magical mystery undersea creature that has magic powers and holds the key to save our environment and biosphere. But, I need the help of budding scientists to help me gather the data and put the creature back together again so we can clone them! Become a scientist- race in three separate teams gathering data to investigate a puzzling, beautiful new species. Swop and stump opponents, winners get to name their discovery and use their imagination to make history in the Genus Book of Records…
